Recruitment, Hiring & Background Investigations
Due to the change in education requirements and hiring age, the Cranston Police
Department initiated a new hiring process on February 1, 2021. The Training Division
was responsible for organizing the recruitment of applicants, managing applications
on PoliceApp.com, communicating with all applicants, and organizing the testing
process, including physical fitness assessment, written exam, and interviews, while
maintaining COVID protocols.
