cooperation with many City officials and departments. In the end, the Training
classroom and armory was completely renovated in less than nine weeks. It
demonstrated how teamwork within City departments can have expedient results.

facility is the State and we pride ourselves on the versatility the complex provides
to the Municipal Police Academy and other police agencies throughout the state.

                                                         Hosting

The Training Complex hosted a two-day Patrol Drug Interdiction training in May.
This training was conducted by Highway Interdiction Training Specialists (HITS)
and provided attendees with the skills to learn the latest in the drug smuggling
inside motor vehicles. During August, the Complex was the host site for a two-
day Taser instructor course. In September we hosted a five-day Patrol rifle
instructor certification course. The training was conducted by Center-Mass and
provided the department with one instructor training at no-charge. By being the
host agency, we were able to increase out rifle instructor cadre to five allowing us
versatility in schedule the semi-annual qualifications.

The complex also provided a testing location for the department of Personnel to
conducted two municipal exams. The Training Complex has quickly become a
multi-purpose facility with multiple City departments utilizing the classroom(s).
We look to maintain this positive working relationship in CY2020.
