the Cranston Police Departments’ participation in RIDOT BlueRipTide traffic

enforcement programs and the C.A.R.E. (Cranston Accident Reduction & Enforcement)

and other available programs. We will continue to look for new ways to further develop

good public relations and safety on the roadways within the City of Cranston. We will

look back at the goals from last year and look ahead to goals for this year.

The K9 Unit faced numerous challenges throughout 2021 and

could not work as many tours of duty as in past years. Injuries

and illnesses to both K9s and their handlers limited the

availability of each team.
