The Animal Control Shelter collaborates

with the Providence Journal to help

facilitate the adoptions, which will help

maintain the 100% adoption rate.

Additionally, the shelter staff and

volunteers added a perennial garden on

the grounds because of a generous

donation from Ocean State Job Lot

The Animal Control Division makes

every effort to promote pet adoptions of

healthy, non-aggressive animals by the

public and approved animal rescue

organizations. By policy. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered before adoption.
