completed on time and on budget. The primary building at the Training Complex
was renovated after an electrical fire nearly destroyed it. Thankfully, the building
was fully insured, and the facility was repaired and placed back in service
expeditiously with several enhancements. Lastly, as a result of the City Council
grant writer receiving funds from the Rhode Island Foundation, air conditioning
was installed at the Animal Shelter, which cools the entire building, including the
dog runs.
I hope you find the annual report to be informative. I encourage you also to

additional information about our department, as well as links to various online
resources such as crime mapping software, our vacation check program, and
online police reporting system to name a few.
