2019 Year in Review
Chief’s Message
On behalf of the dedicated men and women of
the Cranston Police Department, it is my
privilege to present to you the 2019 Annual
Report. A successful organization hinges on
the dedication, commitment, competency,
leadership, and professionalism of those who
comprise it. I am incredibly proud of the men
and women of the Cranston Police Department
who continually strive to provide the highest
quality police services to more than the 81,000
residents, business owners, and visitors. The Cranston Police Department
continues to maintain both national and state law enforcement accreditation and
is committed to continually evolving as an agency.
The services of the Cranston Police Department were in high demand in 2019,

calendar years 2015, 2016, and 2017. Despite being tasked with such a heavy
call volume, our average response time remains less than two minutes.

members of the Detective Division are equally critical to the mission of our
organization. Their investigative expertise, vast array of internal resources, and
long-standing partnerships with Federal, State, and local law enforcement
agencies led to the apprehension and successful prosecution of suspects for
serious crimes.
We recognize that leveraging community partnerships has been, and continues
to be, a crucial component of our success. By communicating with the public
through a wide range of platforms in concert with various community outreach
programs, our ability to quickly address quality of life issues and reduce crime
citywide has been dramatically enhanced. These efforts are yielding
