• 12 pieces of evidence were processed for latent prints. Latent prints
were developed on 4 of those pieces of evidence.
• 7 firearms were processed.
• 4 bullets and casings were sent to the R.I. State Crime lab for NIBIN entry.
No NIBIN hits were obtained of those submitted as of yet.
• $12,547.75 in currency was seized and submitted into the Currency
Room.
• $3,070 in counterfeit money was seized and stored in the currency room.
• 7 pieces of DNA evidence was submitted to the R.I. Health Dept. for
testing.
• 12 Cell phones were forensically examined.
• 237 Prosecution requests were handled.
• 111 cases involving narcotics were submitted to the Rhode Island DOH for
testing.
• 53 Sex Offenders were registered.
• 7 Autopsies attended.
• 530 appointments for civilian fingerprints were scheduled of which 456
civilians were fingerprinted. Due to loss of personnel in the unit, the number
of appointments per day was dropped.
• 86 Background checks were conducted.
