B.C.I. Productivity Report – By the Numbers

It was another very active year for BCI. The relative increase in activity corresponded

with the department’s increase in calls for service. The BCI Unit processed seventy-

eight total crime scenes where hundreds of pieces of evidence were collected. Scenes

processed by our unit included 85 Crime scenes were processed and hundreds of

pieces of evidence were collected:

• 3 Homicide

• 15 Rape/ Sexual assaults

• 15 Robberies

• 3 Aggravated Assaults

• 6 B&E’S

• 2 Larcenies

• 4 Recovered stolen vehicles

• 2 Arson

• 3 Vandalism

• 6 Weapons Offenses

• 8 Drug overdose deaths

• 2 Fatal vehicle accident

• 3 Motor vehicle accidents

• 15 Deaths

Additional activities in the year 2020 by the BCI Unit included:

• 155 pieces of narcotics were stored in the BCI drug room) arrangements

are being made to destroy these drugs).

• 4 vehicles were processed. Fingerprints were developed on 2 of those

vehicles. Blood evidence was obtained from 1 of those vehicles.
