Events

URT members participated in several volunteer events for the community.
These events included numerous Touch-A-Truck demonstration events for the
community, and an assist to D.E.M. regarding a clean-up effort.

DEM Event
On July 30th, 2019, members of the Rhode
Island Department of Environmental
Management requested assistance at
Mesanticut Pond. DEM members explained
there was a large clean-up effort taking place in
the pond to remove an aggressive and invasive
plant that was overtaking the pond. DEM
requested our assistance in helping both
logistically and utilizing team equipment in the
operation.

Touch a Truck Events

URT participated in several touch a truck events for the community, both within
and outside the City of Cranston. URT also participates in other community-
based events during the year, including the citizens police academy.
