Traffic Year to Year Statistics
The following year to year review contain numerious accident related statistics
comparing 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. The purpose of the information
contained in this report is to review and evaluate possible trends so that the traffic
unit can focus our attention through continued targeted traffic enforcement and
community education to the areas that need it most. Review of this information will
also allow for the formulation of future targeted enforcement deployment strategies, by
the identification of the time(s), day(s), and location(s) where the City of Cranston
experiences the most crashes. The desired outcome is that the Cranston Police
Department will have a positive impact in reducing collisions throughout the city and
preventing the loss of property, and more importantly, the loss of life in 2022.
