DEA Drug Take Back Days

Each April and October, the Cranston Police Department, in

partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration,

partner in a national program to promote the police

department as a drop off location for residents seeking to

properly dispose of unused prescription drugs. This effort is

known as the Drug Enforcement Administration Drug Take Back Day. Regarding this

program, the Office of Community Outreach served as the primary marketing contact

for the department on electronic and print media.

Coffee with a Cop

Cranston Police engaged the public in several

“coffee with a cop” events. These events are a

way for the public to engage their local police in

a relaxed setting over a cup of coffee on the

Cranston Police. These events were held at

Coffee and Crumbs, Café International, Bagel

Express and Deli.
