To participate in “Blue Riptide” the Cranston Police Department Traffic Unit Sergeant
is required to apply for grant monies on a yearly basis to cover the costs of details
performed throughout the year. Details are assigned through the Traffic Unit monthly
according to specific program guidelines. The breakdown and year to year comparison
